FAQ

Questions we get asked a lot.

Do I need to be in California to apply?

No — leadership roles are open to students nationwide. State Director and Chapter Director roles exist specifically to bring AI Vanguard to new states and schools, and we already have state directors in Minnesota, Tennessee, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

Is there a fee to join or partner?

No. AI Vanguard is a student-led nonprofit. Participation as a student leader or school partner is free.

How do you handle student data in your research?

Research participation is voluntary, and surveys and focus groups are designed to protect student privacy. We don't publish anything that identifies individual students.

Can I get in touch about something that isn't listed here?

Yes — the contact page has the right channels for general questions, press, and school inquiries.
